Here’s a Little of My Story…

Motherhood didn’t bring out the best in me.

I’ve always had a bit of a feisty personality. But after having three babies in four and a half years, I found myself feeling like I was in a constant battle with anger…and I was losing.

I was feeling annoyed and frustrated as a mom. I was yelling at my kids and feeling horrible afterwards. I was worrying about damaging them. I was not the mom I wanted to be, and I was not enjoying motherhood.

I am a math/science nerd who loves solving problems so I went off on my own to try to solve my problems.

I tried Googling parenting strategies, reading books, and taking deep breaths with little success. Therapy healed some wounds but didn’t fully fix my problem. I was praying God would do SOMETHING to fix me or fix my kids.

Then I started working with a Catholic coach and transformation finally started happening.

I began implementing some practical and authentically Catholic tools into my daily life, and I began to see how to become the mom I wanted to be.

Not a perfect mom, but a much more joyful, confident, peaceful mom.

I’ve learned how to…

… stop being so reactive.

… delight more in my kids & in being their mom.

… feel confident navigating overstimulating moments.

… understand & address the root causes of my emotions.

… recover quickly, even when I mess up.

… partner more with the Lord in my parenting & rely on His grace to fill in the gaps.

And I’m still learning and growing and adding more tools to my toolbox.
